Eco-Gym

Vedas was founded by Tammy Polenz, fitness expert of 20 years and author of Think Fit 2b Fit. This eco-friendly facility is located in the IMG Building, a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Certified structure. This 5,000 square foot eco-gym provides its members with a great workout in a green environment.

Materials used to update the facility were chosen in order to provide a clean, fresh, green environment, while reducing Vedas' ecological footprint in the world. This was accomplished by using low VOC paints and adhesives, recycled and quickly renewable materials, such as recycled rubber and bamboo flooring.

Cleaning products and locker room amenities are also eco-friendly with natural ingredients. Other updates include the addition of exercise equipment and fixtures that have less electrical demands or no energy requirements to operate, lessening Vedas overall energy consumption.

The world sustains human life, therefore the Vedas' philosophy not only extends towards improving the health of its members, but also towards maintaining a healthy environment to live and workout in as well.
